Thank so much for the Shout Out, Chris! I appreciate it. Your podcast was motivating as usual.

When you’re working from home, you do have to allow yourself some “flexibility” at times, especially when you have kids to take care of. When you don’t easily adjust to situations that arise you really add to your stress level.

I love your idea of focusing on your top 3 priorities for the week. We have to really determine what our top priorities are…and if those are tasks that are actually going to make us any money in the long run. Sometimes we get caught up in doing “busy things” that don’t produce any results. Those little tasks actually become an expense in our business with little or no ROI.

It was my pleasure. Thanks for the encouragement. Yep, the busy work makes us fell like we are being productive, when in actuality we are not.

Thanks for another great podcast, Chris. I enjoy listening to what you have to say and your voice is very pleasant to the ear.

Like you, I have been re-evaluating how I need to go about getting things done without stressing myself out too much. Although I don’t have a job outside of the home, I have to work around some health challenges that slow down my ability to get things done.

I’ve come to realize that I’m a pretty hard task master and that I need to give myself the flexibility to do what I can and not push myself too hard. Sometimes I think I work much harder for myself than I ever did when I worked in an office. There’s always something else to be done. ;) However, like you, I have discovered that taking a break gives me renewed energy to get things done, so I try to schedule them regularly.

I make daily lists of the important things to do for each day. Then I have a running list of things I need to do that don’t have specific deadlines. When I’ve finished the things that must be done, then I find something on the other list that I can do. If I don’t get to the other list, that’s still okay because I finished the tasks that absolutely had to be done.

I really liked your comment about how Internet marketing is a race for the steady not the swift. I’m going to work hard to remember that when I want to push myself too hard.

Thanks Jenny! Its nice to get feedback on my voice. It is hard for me to listen to the replays, but its getting easy.

I think the reason we push ourselves so hard for perfection online is because so many people are quick to judge. I have develop the mindset that I will get stuff out there and correct them as I go. I’m not going to let being afraid of making mistakes hold me back.

You have some real gems in this.
It took a bit to get into the meat of this but I really enjoyed the podcast.

Thanks for taking the time to make it.
